Take part in a Volunteering Taster Day on 19 July

The BIG Alliance invites local businesses to volunteer alongside others at Caledonian Park, a much-loved community green space in Islington. 

• Date: Tuesday 19th July 2022
• Timings: The day will be split into two shifts, with an AM and PM session. Volunteers can opt to attend either a morning session (9:30am – 12:30pm), afternoon session (1.30pm  – 4.30pm) or all day (9.30am to 4.30pm)
• Capacity: up to 20 volunteers in each session. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis

Tasks will depend on priorities nearer the time. Some examples of previous volunteer days have included: building new raised beds; digging out a new pond; laying and pinning edging for accessible pathways; digging new flower beds, fencing and planting.

The activity will be outdoors and risk assessed. Volunteers will be supported and guided by Friends of Caledonian Park group. More details, including a briefing document, will be shared following sign-up.
