21 Sept 2020 – The NHS COVID-19 ‘Test and Trace’ App will launch nationally this Thursday, 24 September.

Hospitality businesses (inc. hair and beauty salons, pubs, restaurants and cinemas) can now create a unique QR Code and create posters to display at your businesses to enable customers to ‘check-in’ without the need to provide details manually.

QR Code creation tool for businesses

Businesses can now create a unique QR code that links directly to the NHS Test and Trace app. You can then create posters to display at the entrance to your premises in time for the launch on Thursday.

Scanning the QR Code on the poster enables customers to ‘check-in’ at your venue without the need for you to collect any further details. Using QR codes will help your business meet the new legal requirement to record the contact details of customers, visitors and staff on their premises.

The QR Code creation tool can be accessed HERE

PLEASE NOTE: If your business has more than one premises, you need to create and print a separate QR Code for each location.

How and where to display your QR Poster

Once you have created your unique QR Code Poster it is vital that you display copies in the correct way to ensure that all customers with the NHS Test and Trace App can scan them to check-in to your venue.
