Independent restaurants – apply now for cash grant

Are you an independent restaurant, café, pub or bar owner? You could get part of a £70,000 cash boost to help your business thrive.

Businesses have just a few days left to apply for a share of the American Express-supported Backing International Small Restaurants grant programme, which aims to spotlight the key role indie eateries play in their communities.

Run by the International Downtown Association Foundation in partnership with the Association of Town and City Management, the programme is now in its second year and runs in five major cities – London, Mexico City, Sydney, Tokyo, and Toronto. 

In London, six eligible restaurants of community significance will receive £11,500 each to help them make critical improvements to boost their business, such as enhancing digital capabilities, revitalising dining spaces and kitchens, or making other physical improvements.
