Charity donations needed for fire station open day
Islington Fire Station is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support – and they need your help.
The crew is appealing for donations of raffle prizes, refreshments and entertainment to help make their annual open day a scorcher. The fun day on September 2 will give visitors a unique chance to look around the fire engines and even have a squirt with the hoses, all while raising money for a vital cause.
Refreshment donations could include tea, coffee, sugar, cold drinks and cups, while raffle prizes such as toys, games, vouchers, and homeware are welcome. Organisers are also offering stall or stand spaces for traders, and appealing for anyone who could provide entertainment for children.
The open day runs from 11am-6pm at the station on 278 Upper Street.
