Chapel Market development consultation
Islington Council has opened its public and business consulation for its plans to make significant place-making changes to Chapel Market.
The plans aim to make the market more welcoming, attractive, easier for users to navigate and make it a better place for traders to do business. The proposals include a new space for community events, new seating, tree planting, flexible parking and loading bays and improved facilities for traders.
The Consultation Portal will be open until Friday 10 March and feedback will help to shape the next stage of the project. Businesses and residents will then have the opportunity for a final say through a Traffic Management Order (TMO) consultation, which will formalise changes to parking and vehicle access.
Should the plans be approved, works are scheduled to start in May 2023. To access the consultation portal click HERE.
