BRIGHTER – Angel Day (inc. Christmas lights switch-on): Saturday 17 November!

The Angel is set to sparkle on Saturday 17th November as our annual Angel Day will be taking place.

A range of music and entertainment  will be taking place throughout the afternoon around the Angel including Angel Central, Upper Street, Chapel Market and Camden Passage.

This year’s festive lights switch-on will take place at 5pm in Angel Central.

Angel Central will also be hosting entertainment from 12.30pm right through the to big switch on.  More info HERE.

In Chapel Market there will be live music, entertainment and free festive treats from 1.30pm.  The ‘Market Trader of the Year’ will be announced at 3pm in the market too.

On Upper Street, we’ve secured the use of Islington Fire Station from 2.30pm as the base for an afternoon of free ‘family friendly’ fun, including paper angel making, puppetry from Little Angel Theatre and the opportunity for young ones (and not-so-young ones!) to explore a fire engine or police car and try on a uniform.  Festive food and treats will also be available here.  At 4pm, two incredible festive illuminated stilt-walkers will lead a ‘light procession’ from the Fire Station to Angel Central in plenty of time for the lights switch on.

In Camden Passage there will be live music and singers from 3.30pm along with free traditional festive fayre to create seasonal atmosphere.

Advertisements for Angel Day will be going into all local media next week and the Angel Day 2018 poster will be displayed across the Angel.
