angel.london welcomes new Chief Executive

We are pleased to welcome Ben Stephenson as the new Chief Executive of angel.london.

Ben brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise, having been a previous Chief Executive of Waterloo BID. Ben also runs his own economic development consultancy that specialises in placemaking, branding, stakeholder engagement and neighbourhood planning.

On his appointment to angel.london, Ben says:

I am delighted to be joining angel.london at such an important and exciting time, as the town centre continues its recovery from the pandemic.

With a resounding yes vote in the recent renewal ballot we can now build a 5-year plan for the Angel, to ensure the business community benefits from being a BID. I look forward to working with the angel.london Board, businesses and partners to deliver this.”

Over the coming weeks Ben will be getting to know as many businesses as possible.

Ben takes over from Christine Lovett who has now retired. Christine led the Angel BID since its formation in 2007 and has successfully steered the organisation through three BID terms.

On her leaving, Christine says:

“It has been an honour and privilege to be at the helm of the Angel BID and I would like to thank all those who I have worked alongside, and the Board Members of angel.london, for their support over the last 15 years.

I would specifically like to thank all the businesses in the Angel for showing their continued faith in the Business Improvement District and I am pleased to be leaving the role in the extremely capable hands of Ben Stephenson, someone who I have known and respected for several years.

The Angel will always have a very special place in my heart.
”

Christine’s email address will remain active for the time being, with all messages redirected to Tracy Henshaw, BID Manager.
