Angel Islington BID to launch net zero strategy at Net Zero Festival

Hear Angel Islington BID’s plans for achieving net zero in the Angel neighbourhood at the upcoming Net Zero Festival at the Business Design Centre.

The BID will launch the strategy at the Festival on Tuesday, October 31, at 11am, where attendees will hear the three levels of action proposed.

The first, what businesses can do to achieve net zero, second, what businesses and the BID can do together at the neighbourhood level to coordinate programmes that reduce Angel’s emissions, and finally, how we respond to Islington Council’s strategy.

The launch will precede a panel discussion with industry leaders Anthesis and two other BIDs that are active in the green localism space, Better Bankside and the South Bank BID. Together we’ll be looking at the increasing importance of action at the neighbourhood level, and the steps that businesses are taking to work with the broader community to deliver on an environmentally and socially responsible agenda.

The session is open to all to attend and includes entry to the Net Zero Festival, which takes place on October 31 and November 1, and includes a packed programme of inspiring talks, workshops, panel discussions and products. Register to attend for free via the Festival website.
